Plymouth Meeting Tamil School follows ATA recommended curriculum and syllabus.

To enroll in Mazhalai, the kids should complete age 4. In this level songs, stories, colors, numbers and primary alphabets.(உயிரெழுத்துகள்) - அ, ஆ…..ஒள) are taught.

In this level kids will learn songs, stories, Aathichudi and to write the alphabets உயிரெழுத்துகள்- (அ, ஆ…...ஒள). and மெய்யெழுத்துகள் (க்,ங், ச்……..ன்)

In this level kids will learn songs, stories, Tirukural and to write alphabets and small words from உயிர்மெய்யெழுத்துகள் upto க் + ஏ series.

In this level kids will learn songs, stories, Tirukural, Proverbs and to write all alphabets in Tamil and make small sentences.

In this level kids will learn songs, stories, Tirukural, making and writing sentences and Tamil Grammar.

In this level kids will learn Numbers (1- 100, 500, 1000, 10000, 100000), பெயர்ச்சொல்(noun), வினைச்சொல்( verb/action), Jumbled sentences, Understand vetrumai urbu and know usage – ability to use in sentences, பெயரடை-வினையடை (adjective/adverb), நிபந்தனைச் சொற்கள்(conditional words), வினாச் சொற்கள்(interrrogative words) from lessons 1 to 19 in ATA Nilai 5 book.

In this level kids will learn in the first term தனி மற்றும் கூட்டு வாக்கியங்கள் simple and compound sentences, எழுவாய்/பயனிலை/ செயப்படுபொருள்subject/object/predicate, வினா வாக்கியங்கள்interrogative sentences, செய்வினை/செயப்பாட்டுவினை active/passive voices, இணைப்புச் சொற்கள்conjunction words from lessons 20 to 25 in Niali 5 ATA book. In the second and third terms kids will be taught Tamil Virtual University Intermediate level syllabus.

In this level the focus will be on interactive class time in a relaxed setting. Curriculum includes reading about famous leaders like, Bharathiyar and Abthulkalam and discuss about their lives and leadership qualities.Reading news paper articles in English and translating it in Tamil, correcting spelling mistakes in letter writing etc. Grammar includes comprehension, meaning, opposites, scrambled words, writing new sentences with the selected words etc. By the end of the year the students will be better with grammar, conversation skills and writing.
